The Irish Writers’ Centre (IWC), Dublin, is hosting three PTC professional development courses for editors in October 2015.
Editing in Word with Anne Waddingham, the one-day version of her SfEP On-screen Editing 1 and 2. Training on the day will be on PCs, but Mac users will be given instructions for Apple-run OS on the day. ‘Editing in Word’ is on either Thursday 8 October or Friday 9 October, 9.30am-5pm (you’re not offered a choice of day on the website, but IWC will email you afterwards to ask which day you prefer).
Advanced Proofreading with Rosemary Roberts is on Monday 19 October, 9.30am-5pm.
Advanced Copy-Editing with Margaret Aherne is on Thursday 22 October, 9.30am-5pm.
Booking in advance is essential. If you’re a member of AFEPI or SfEP, you qualify for the discounted rate. All three courses carry points (3 points per one-day course) towards upgrading your membership with the SfEP.
