I am a full-time Hansard reporter at the NI Assembly. My work includes transcribing, editing and proofreading the words of MLAs and expert witnesses for online publication and proofreading the final texts that are published as Bound Volumes.
Prior to joining Hansard, I was an experienced freelance proofreader and copy-editor working primarily in non-fiction and academic material. I have a particular specialism in music and the arts, having previously worked in the classical and contemporary music field for 30 years. I had roles as a concert promoter, funder (Arts Council) and freelance music consultant and ran Belfast Music Society, a professional chamber music organisation, from 2008 to 2021 alongside my editorial work. I continue to offer freelance proofreading and copy-editing but with more limited availability.
